UX Designer (Service Designer)
Meet your future team
Join our UX team and work closely with Developers, Product teams, Business Architects and Technology specialists to design services that connect user needs, business priorities and technology. You will contribute to strengthening Service Design and AI-enabled design practices across the organisation.
What your role will look like
As a UX / Service Designer, you will help Business and IT teams make sense of complex challenges and turn them into useful, coherent and sustainable services. You will work across people, processes and technology, bringing a human-centred perspective from discovery through to implementation.
- Lead Service Design activities from discovery and problem framing through concept development, experimentation and implementation support.
- Conduct user and stakeholder research, synthesising evidence into clear insights, opportunities and recommendations.
- Map current and future service experiences using journey maps, service blueprints, ecosystem maps and other appropriate visual methods to identify pain points, dependencies and opportunities.
- Design and facilitate collaborative workshops that help multidisciplinary teams frame challenges, explore possibilities and make informed decisions.
- Work closely with Developers, Product teams, Business Architects and Technology specialists to translate service concepts into feasible solutions.
- Apply AI-assisted design methods and agent-based workflows across research, synthesis, ideation, prototyping and experimentation, critically evaluating the quality and limitations of outputs.
- Share methods, experiments and lessons learned to strengthen Service Design expertise and effective AI-enabled ways of working across the team.
Your growth and opportunities
Deepen your Service Design expertise by working on complex challenges that span user experience, business processes and technology. You will expand your experience with AI-assisted design and agent-based workflows while progressively strengthening and sharing these practices across the UX team.
The skills you bring
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in UX Design, Product Design, Service Design, Design Strategy, Innovation Consulting or digital transformation, supported by a portfolio demonstrating your approach and impact.
- Proficient, independent application of human-centred design and Design Thinking methods, including qualitative research, problem framing, journey mapping, facilitation, prototyping and testing.
- Working technical knowledge that enables you to collaborate effectively with Developers, Product, Business Architecture and Technology teams, understand system constraints and incorporate technical considerations into design decisions.
- Proficient, hands-on use of AI-assisted and agent-based ways of working beyond basic prompting, with the ability to apply them to research, synthesis, ideation, prototyping and experimentation while critically reviewing outputs.
Ways of working
- You apply structured thinking to real-world challenges, identify problems and opportunities proactively, and connect evidence to the wider business context.
- You collaborate effectively across functions, support colleagues and contribute to an inclusive environment when working through multidisciplinary design challenges.
- You actively pursue opportunities to improve your skills, adapt to new approaches and use feedback and experimentation to develop your practice.
- You act with integrity, handle confidential information with care, and uphold high ethical standards in every situation.
Additional skills that would support your success
- Previous hands-on Service Design experience. A strong background in adjacent design disciplines combined with clear motivation to develop further as a Service Designer can also support success in the role.
The skills listed reflect what matters most to succeed in this role. If your experience aligns with them, even if your path looks different, we encourage you to apply and start the conversation with us.
