Common questions

How many companies have AI jobs that offer visa sponsorship?

As of October 17, 2026, 20 companies have at least one live Works on AI and Builds AI job whose text says the employer sponsors visas. The most jobs: Anthropic (401), Thinking Machines Lab (43), Reflection AI (36), PwC (16), Retell AI (15).

Does a sponsorship mention guarantee a visa?

No. Level reports what the employer wrote in the job text, nothing more. Whether a visa is granted depends on the visa programme, the employer's legal process and your own situation. Ask the recruiter before you rely on it.

What about jobs that say they do not sponsor?

As of October 17, 2026, 603 live Works on AI and Builds AI jobs say sponsorship is not available (for example "unable to sponsor" or "must not require sponsorship"). Among the 1,559 jobs that take a position, that is 39%. These jobs are never counted as sponsoring, even when the same company has other jobs that do.

Is this the same as a company's public H-1B history?

No. This page counts live job posts that mention sponsorship. A company's public H-1B history is what it filed in past years. Level does not hold that history, so nothing on this page says a company has filed, or will file, an H-1B petition.

How does Level read the job text?

Each job description is split into sentences. Only sentences about visa sponsorship are kept, and each is classified: sponsors, depends, not available, or a mention with no answer. A job counts as sponsoring only when no sentence refuses or limits it. Only English text is read, so some jobs are missed rather than overcounted. As of October 17, 2026.

Method: sponsorship mentioned in the offer is not the same as public H-1B history. This page measures only the first: whether the live job text says the employer sponsors visas. Level holds no filing records, so no company is described here as an H-1B filer.

Each description is read sentence by sentence. A job counts as sponsoring only when it says so and no other sentence of the job refuses or limits it. "No sponsorship", "unable to sponsor" and "must not require sponsorship" are refusals, and "case by case" or "for some roles" count as "depends". Only English is read. Republished listings are excluded. The scope is Works on AI and Builds AI jobs; salaries come from published salary ranges only. Counted October 17, 2026; refreshed every hour.
