With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Barback to join the Food & Beverage team at One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai.

As a Barback, you will play a vital role in supporting the bar team and ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. You will be responsible for maintaining bar stock levels, replenishing supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring that all bar areas are clean, organized, and fully operational throughout service.

Working closely with Bartenders and the Food & Beverage team, you will assist in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the bar is always well-prepared and running efficiently. Your responsibilities will include handling glassware, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, supporting inventory control, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of the bar area during daily operations and special events, all while reflecting our company’s core values and service standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Bartenders in preparing the bar for service by ensuring all supplies, garnishes, glassware, ice, mixers, and beverages are fully stocked and readily available.
• Replenish bar stock throughout service to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar areas, including counters, shelves, storage rooms, and equipment.
• Collect, clean, polish, and restock glassware to ensure adequate supplies are available during service.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating beverage inventory in accordance with company standards.
• Monitor stock levels and promptly communicate replenishment needs to the Bartender or Bar Manager.
• Support Bartenders by preparing basic ingredients, garnishes, and bar setup requirements.
• Remove empty bottles, used glassware, and waste materials from the bar area in a timely manner.
• Ensure all bar stations are properly set up before service and maintained throughout operating hours.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and organizing the bar area.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of bar equipment and supplies.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock control procedures as required.
• Work closely with Bartenders, Servers, Hosts, and Kitchen colleagues to support efficient restaurant operations.
• Support special events, promotions, theme nights, and resort activities by ensuring the bar is adequately stocked and prepared.
• Respond promptly to operational needs during busy service periods and assist colleagues when required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while supporting the team.
• Participate in pre-shift briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
• Ensure all back-of-house bar areas are clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
• Act as a brand ambassador by upholding the resort's service standards, values, and commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

A suitable candidate should have 1–2 years of experience in a bar, restaurant, or luxury hospitality environment, preferably within a 5-star hotel or resort. Previous experience supporting bar operations, handling stock replenishment, and maintaining bar cleanliness and organization is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent personal presentation, strong teamwork skills, and a positive, proactive attitude. They should be well organized, physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment and committed to supporting the bar team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Strong communication skills in English are required, and proficiency in an additional language will be considered an advantage.
