What you'll be doing  

 Build, maintain, and monitor automated data pipelines on the Group's cloud data platform, transforming raw transactional data into reporting schemas and developing BI dashboards to deliver reliable, analytics-ready data.

• Build, maintain, and monitor automated ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte on Google BigQuery or another MPP data warehouse, such as Snowflake.

• Transform raw transactional data into reporting schemas and curated data models using dbt and SQL, applying dimensional modeling.

• Optimize data warehouse performance through partitioning, clustering, and query optimization in BigQuery.

• Develop and maintain Looker BI dashboards (LookML) and Power BI reports for business stakeholders.

• Integrate data from a variety of source types, including e-commerce, POS, and ERP feeds, APIs, databases, and files, using tools such as Airbyte as well as custom-built integrations.

• Handle data ingestion incident resolution, monitoring pipeline jobs and ensuring reliability, uptime, and data freshness.

• Write clean, performant Python and SQL for ingestion, transformation, and data validation, and participate in code reviews and Git-based CI/CD workflows.

• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver analytics-ready data and support data quality checks.

What you’ll need to succeed  

• Minimum 3 years of experience building and operating data pipelines.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in dbt for data

transformation and dimensional modeling.

• Experience with Google BigQuery (partitioning, clustering, query optimization), orchestration (Apache Airflow), and ingestion tools (Airbyte).

• Hands-on experience with core cloud concepts and containerisation, including Docker and Kubernetes (e.g. GKE).

• Experience developing BI dashboards with Looker (LookML) and Power BI.

• Understanding of ETL/ELT development, data ingestion incident resolution, and BI and data warehousing concepts.

• Hands-on experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) for AI-assisted development.
