Job Summary

The Director, Global Engineering Operations, is responsible for driving technical excellence across the portfolio. For the ongoing review, standardization, rationalization, management and monitoring of the Engineering Operations of all KID facilities and brands (including One&Only, SIRO, Rare Finds and Atlantis). The Director, Global Engineering Operations, to support with all other Operations and Technical Services engineering functions as required, driving technical compliance and best practice. Responsible to integrate, drive and promote the Sustainability program throughout the Kerzner portfolio, ensuring property compliance and Sustainability target management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• • Be responsible for drafting and managing Kerzner corporate guidelines for Engineering Operations.
  • Review and update all existing properties SOPs including all PPM and propose changes to align with Kerzner Brand Standards and Guidelines.
  • Managing central document repository for the Global Engineering function.
  • Owning the portfolio risk management program to ensure constant growth and performance while mitigating operational risk.
  • Driving and managing the Kerzner water safety platform and process.
  • Plan and participate in opening 'Taskforce ' activities for any new properties as an Engineering representative.
  • Be responsible for the induction and orientation of new employees at property Director of Engineering level.
  • Be a key point of contact for each property Director of Engineering and assist with property engagement for all engineering functions.
  • Liaise, align and support the Global Business Continuity team to ensure technical preparedness,
  • Be responsible for successful implementation, and the continued growth of the Kerzner Sustainability program at Global and property level.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Kerzner’s Director of Sustainability to validate and technically support in all target setting and performance activities aligned with the Kerzner Sustainability strategy.
  • Align management style, working practices and conduct with Kerzner's vision, corporate values, operating standards and policies. To always comply with Kerzner international code of conduct.
  • Monitor and manage engineering projects in relation to KID Policies and Procedures and that they are in place and operating.
  • Assist with the review, implementation, and management of all aspects of MEP design and related engineering services on projects as required.
  • Review, validate and support all CAPEX related projects and processes.

• • Assist in the review and coordination of the MEP design and related engineering services.
  • Ensure KID design standards and guidelines are implemented by designers and contractors.
  • Monitor Safety related aspects for KID projects.
  • Monitor QA/QC related issues on KID projects.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
