Director of IT for Mass Market

Reporting directly to the CIO, you will lead one of Orange Polska’s most important technology domains, supporting millions of customers and playing a key role in the company’s future growth and digital transformation.

As Director of IT for Mass Market, you will define and execute the technology strategy, transformation agenda, and delivery model for Orange Polska’s largest customer segment. You will work closely with business leaders to modernise platforms, drive innovation, and ensure reliable, high-quality technology services.

We are looking for a senior technology leader who combines strategic vision with strong execution capabilities and a proven track record of leading large-scale technology organisations.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the technology strategy and target architecture for the Mass Market (B2C) domain.
• Drive the IT-B2C Transformation programme and modernisation of key business platforms.
• Partner closely with Mass Market business leaders, translating business priorities into technology roadmaps and investment plans.
• Govern technology investments, priorities, and delivery portfolio to maximise business value and strategic alignment.
• Manage significant technology budgets and supplier partnerships while ensuring cost efficiency and business value delivery.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of business-critical systems supporting sales, customer care, digital channels, and customer management.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of mission-critical services.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering, and AI-enabled software development.
• Support standardisation and reuse of enterprise platforms while reducing technology complexity and shadow IT.
• Lead a large, multidisciplinary IT organisation across delivery, architecture, quality, and operations.
• Develop and evolve the Mass Market IT organisation, ensuring strong leadership succession, capability development, talent retention, and employee engagement.
• Foster a high-performing technology culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Our requirements:

• Extensive experience in senior IT leadership roles such as CIO, IT Director, Head of IT, or equivalent.
• Experience gained within telecommunications, ICT, digital services, or other large-scale customer-facing technology organisations.
• Strong background in leading complex IT environments, digital transformation programmes, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience managing large technology teams, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong executive presence and ability to engage effectively with C-level stakeholders on business, financial, and technology topics.
• Ability to influence senior executives and build strong partnerships across business and technology functions.
• Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance customer needs, technology priorities, and financial performance.
• Deep understanding of B2C business processes, digital channels, customer experience, and commercial operations.
• Knowledge of modern technology and delivery frameworks, including Agile, DevOps, cloud-native approaches, CI/CD, and service management.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
