Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Technical Sales Support in Shanghai China. Main stakeholders are ELDS.

II –General Responsibilities

Support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. Serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

III –Main Accountabilities

• Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers with regard to ABB products/systems/ applications. Provides technical support during the bidding, technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations.

• Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.

• Ensure tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of details, including full and accurate costs.

• In accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.

• Identify potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Provides information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy.

• Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.

IV –Requirements

Education Background

Bachelor’s degree or above, Major in Electrical/Engineering related.

Working Experience

2+ years working experience in related filed, with a solid foundation of knowledge in medium and high voltage power systems.

Position Knowledge/Skills

Fluent on English both in written and oral

Personality

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills expected, and with good teamwork spirit.

Self-motivation and good time management, able to manage the tender timetable.

Strong ability to work under pressure.
