Ko tō tūranga – your role
At One NZ, we’re evolving the technology, systems and processes that support our business customers and sales teams. As Enterprise Systems Enablement Lead, you’ll help build our future Salesforce environment while ensuring today’s systems remain stable, secure, well governed and aligned with business needs.
We’re looking for a future-thinking technologist who can see the possibilities ahead and turn them into practical outcomes for our customers and sales teams. You’ll lead business-side systems enablement across a major technology programme, connecting customer and sales needs with technology delivery and operational readiness.
You’ll bring curiosity about emerging technologies and sound judgement about where they can add lasting value. Owning and prioritising a systems backlog, you’ll help shape where we invest, what we enhance or move into the future environment, and what we simplify or retire. You’ll balance longer-term opportunities with customer impact, business value and operational risk, avoiding short-term solutions with limited shelf life while keeping critical systems and sales channels performing.
Leading a team of four specialists across Salesforce administration, functional consulting, development and integrations, you’ll provide direction, develop capability and guide initiatives from concept and business case through to delivery. This isn’t a hands-on developer role.
You’ll work closely with senior business leaders, technology teams and programme stakeholders to manage competing priorities and ensure system improvements deliver meaningful customer and commercial outcomes. It’s an opportunity to shape how technology enables Enterprise sales and customer operations, both today and into the future.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Lead business-side systems enablement for our future Enterprise technology environment, ensuring customer and sales requirements, risks, dependencies, decisions and operational readiness are visible, prioritised and actively managed.
- Represent our strategic and enterprise customers’ needs in programme governance forums, steering committees and delivery teams, influencing decisions and ensuring business requirements are reflected in technology solutions.
- Own and prioritise the Enterprise systems backlog, bringing a future-thinking technology perspective to decisions about what we invest in, enhance, move to the future environment or retire. Balance longer-term opportunities with customer impact, business value, risk, effort, delivery capacity, dependencies and strategic alignment.
- Oversee the performance and governance of our current Enterprise Salesforce environment, maintaining reliability, security, resilience and data integrity, with controlled enhancements that support operational needs throughout the transition.
- Lead and develop a team of four Salesforce specialists, providing clear direction, coaching, workload prioritisation and accountability for operational and delivery outcomes.
- Guide systems enablement initiatives end to end, from initial concept and business case through requirements, solution options, development coordination, testing, implementation and operational readiness.
- Manage cross-system and process impacts across Salesforce and connected platforms for quoting, pricing, billing, ordering and service setup, ensuring integrations, data flows and operational dependencies are understood and effectively managed.
- Champion simplification, automation and continuous improvement, staying curious about emerging technologies and assessing where they can deliver practical, lasting value. Turn promising opportunities into improvements that reduce complexity and unnecessary manual work, creating simpler, more connected experiences for customers and sales teams.
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- Extensive experience across Salesforce, CRM, enterprise systems transformation, technology enablement, customer operations, sales operations or similarly complex B2B environments.
- Strong Salesforce credibility and operating knowledge, with the technical depth to understand solutions, challenge recommendations and assess the consequences of key decisions.
- Experience owning complex technology change from concept through to delivery, including requirements, risks, dependencies, testing, readiness and operational impacts.
- Proven people leadership experience across functional and technical capabilities, including setting priorities, coaching people and managing workload and capacity.
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to understand integrations, downstream impacts, data flows, process design and the wider technology ecosystem surrounding Salesforce.
- Sound judgement and the confidence to make difficult prioritisation decisions, including when to fix, build, migrate, defer or stop work.
- The ability to translate technical complexity into clear options, risks, trade-offs and recommendations for senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience in a complex Enterprise or B2B sales environment would be valuable. Relevant Salesforce certifications or equivalent practical experience would also be beneficial.
