AI in this role
Lead planning and delivery for high-profile esports events across APAC as an Event Producer III at Riot Games.
Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.
We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.
That's where you come in.
As an Event Producer III on Riot’s APAC Emerging Markets Content Services team, you’ll be an event owner responsible for high-profile events across APAC Emerging Markets.
You’ll work across multiple Riot titles and markets, translating product and business goals into memorable player and fan experiences. You’ll balance event vision, audience experience, budget, risk, commercial opportunity, and local-market realities from initial concept through post-event review. You’ll lead through influence, coordinating Riot stakeholders, agencies, venues, and vendors while acting as a key decision-making and escalation point for event delivery. This role is based in Singapore and requires regular travel across APAC, including extended periods onsite during event delivery. You will report to the Head of Content Services, APAC-EM.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and delivery for assigned esports events from initial brief through post-event closeout. Translate product strategy, event objectives, and audience insights into clear event plans, priorities, milestones, and success measures
- Align with stakeholders around event goals and decisions and make informed tradeoffs across scope, cost, timing, audience experience, operational feasibility, and risk
- Act as the event-level owner and integrator for the audience journey, fan experience, fan-facing programs, and event-level ticketing strategy. Use audience and event-performance data to inform ticketing, demand generation, and fan-experience decisions; identify opportunities to improve ROI and revenue through hospitality, merchandise, premium experiences, and partner activations
- Partner with stakeholders to translate brand, IP, audience, and commercial priorities into locally resonant event activations across APAC.
- Lead agency and vendor briefing, scope alignment, delivery tracking, and performance management across APAC markets.
- Build and manage event budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial reporting, tracking investment against audience, brand, strategic, and commercial outcomes. Identify dependencies, delivery risks, and local-market considerations early; develop options, contingency plans, and clear escalation paths.
- Build reusable templates, tools, and processes that improve consistency and scalability across APAC events. Lead post-event retrospectives and apply learnings to future events
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience producing live events, esports events, sports events, entertainment productions, experiential activations, or comparable complex projects; equivalent experience may be considered
- Demonstrated experience scoping and owning complex events or projects from concept through onsite delivery and post-event review
- Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders and managing agencies, vendors, and venue partners
- Experience managing event budgets, timelines, risks, and competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, maintain sound judgment, and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines and high-pressure live-event conditions
- Ability to travel extensively across APAC and work flexible hours during event delivery
Desired Qualifications
- Experience producing esports or gaming events and leading global or cross-regional productions across multiple APAC markets, countries, and time zones
- Understanding of local cultural and business practices across APAC
- Ability to speak one or more APAC local languages in addition to English is preferred
- Experience with ticketing strategy, audience analytics, revenue or ROI optimization, fan activations, and hospitality.
- Familiarity with Riot esports programs and project-management tools such as Airtable, Google Workspace, or Notion
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
We’ll look at your experience delivering complex events, your ability to work across cultures and disciplines, and your approach to building experiences that are locally meaningful and globally relevant. If you care deeply about esports, live entertainment, and creating memorable experiences for players and fans across APAC, this could be your role.
Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
