Frontend Software Engineer– Cortex AI Apps

We are hiring a Intermediate Software Engineer for our Cortex AI Applications team. This team builds the AI/ML-powered user experiences that enable enterprises to converse with their structured data and extract insights in unprecedented ways — spanning the full product lifecycle from conception through deployment. In this role, you will build scalable, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces at the intersection of AI, data, and enterprise UX.

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

• Contribute to the technical execution and delivery of user-facing frontend features, taking ideas from design concepts to production-ready deployments.

• Write clean, performant, and maintainable TypeScript/React code while adhering to engineering best practices.

• Actively participate in frontend architecture discussions, design reviews, and peer code reviews to ensure code quality and system scalability.

• Collaborate closely with product managers and UX/UI designers to convert user requirements into detailed technical tasks and robust UI components.

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize the frontend platform’s responsiveness, availability, and user experience.

• Partner with backend and cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and support backend services that power AI inference and data retrieval.

• Use AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools) as an integral component of your day-to-day software development workflow.

OUR IDEAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

• 3+ years of professional experience designing and building production web applications.

• Actively use AI coding assistants in daily engineering workflows

• Strong hands-on proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the modern React ecosystem.

• Solid understanding of core computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, UI design patterns, and state management.

• Proven ability to turn design mocks and product specs into production-quality code.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• Experience building or shipping LLM-powered applications or conversational user interfaces.

• Familiarity with major cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Prior exposure to data analytics, BI tools, or data visualization frameworks.

• Basic understanding of backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs, or systems that serve AI/ML models.
