At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most.

About the Product Marketing team

The Product Marketing team brings intellectual curiosity to understanding our customers, our market, and where Affirm can create value. We ask questions, challenge assumptions, and turn what we learn into product recommendations and focused go-to-market strategies. We’re the connective tissue across Product, Analytics, Revenue, and Marketing, building a shared understanding of who we’re serving, what matters to them, and how we’ll drive adoption and growth. We’re also storytellers: we make complex products easy to understand and give merchants and consumers a clear, compelling reason to choose Affirm.

About the Role

As a Group Product Marketing Manager, you’ll own the strategy and systems that drive product marketing excellence across Affirm’s B2B organization. You’ll synthesize merchant, consumer, market, and performance insights across our portfolio to shape shared strategy, strengthen our merchant narrative, and guide product and go-to-market investments. You’ll establish the frameworks, standards, and operating mechanisms that improve segmentation, go-to-market planning, and measurement across teams. Alongside this portfolio-wide mandate, you’ll directly lead a focused set of critical, ambiguous cross-portfolio opportunities from discovery through commercialization. This senior individual contributor role will create leverage across the broader Product Marketing team, raising the quality, consistency, and impact of our work.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and evolve the portfolio narrative: Develop Affirm’s merchant story, messaging architecture, and proof points. Partner with Brand and other Marketing teams to connect it to Affirm’s broader brand story and activate it across priority merchant channels.

  • Connect product and GTM teams: Establish operating rhythms that sustain alignment across teams, with deeper coordination at critical moments such as planning, forecasting, launches, and strategic client opportunities.

  • Equip Revenue teams to tell the story: Partner with Revenue Enablement to turn the portfolio narrative into messaging, tools, training, and proof points that strengthen merchant conversations across the field.

  • Lead Voice of the Merchant: Own Affirm’s Client Advisory Board and broader merchant feedback loops. Turn insights from strategic merchants, Revenue teams, research, and performance data into product priorities, go-to-market decisions, and pilot or co-development opportunities.

  • Lead critical initiatives: Own a limited number of high-priority, ambiguous opportunities, such as strategic commerce and payments platform partnerships or new market launches.

  • Be a culture carrier: model Affirm’s values and set a high bar for how teams collaborate, make decisions, and learn. Build trust across functions, create an inclusive environment for candid debate and thoughtful risk-taking, and coach others to do their best work.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, or a related field, with depth in B2B payments, fintech, commerce, or platform businesses.

  • A track record of setting strategic direction and delivering measurable outcomes for a significant product portfolio or business area.

  • A strong portfolio storyteller who can connect complex products into a clear narrative for senior leaders, merchants, and partners.

  • Exceptional strategic and business judgment. You can turn merchant, consumer, market, and performance insights into product priorities, business cases, and investment recommendations.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, resolve tradeoffs, and build alignment across Product, Revenue, Partnerships, Analytics, and Marketing.

  • Strong self-serve analytical skills. You’re comfortable using SQL, dashboards, and AI-assisted analysis to investigate questions, test hypotheses, and decide when to scale, adjust, or stop.

  • High AI fluency and a track record of improving the quality and speed of your own work while helping others do the same, using AI for tasks such as synthesizing research, analyzing data, automating workflows, and building reusable tools.

  • Experience building reusable frameworks and operating mechanisms that improve segmentation, go-to-market planning, launches, and measurement across teams.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Product Marketing, Go To Market, Messaging, Segmentation, and Cross Functional Leadership. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
