Head of BestX Product Innovation - VP - State Street Markets

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a visionary and commercially-minded Head of BestX Product Innovation to help shape the future of execution intelligence across global markets.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving innovation, commercial product strategy, and new business opportunities across the BestX franchise, spanning Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Equities. The successful candidate will combine deep market expertise with creativity, strategic thinking, and a passion for solving complex trading and workflow challenges faced by institutional investors.

You will identify emerging industry trends, evaluate new technologies including AI and automation, develop innovative product concepts, and work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to bring transformative ideas to market.

As Head of BestX Product Innovation, you will play a central role in defining what comes next for BestX. You will be responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities, developing innovative commercial propositions, and ensuring BestX remains at the forefront of execution intelligence across asset classes.

Working closely with senior leadership, sales, product, technology, and clients, you will help shape the long-term vision of BestX and strengthen its position as a leading provider of execution analytics, decision support and workflow intelligence solutions.

• Drive innovation across the BestX product portfolio covering FX, Fixed Income and Equities.
• Identify and develop commercially viable opportunities that create value for clients and the business.
• Collaborate with market participants, industry partners and internal teams to bring new ideas to market.
• Influence strategic direction and help define the future of execution intelligence.
• Work in a fast-paced environment where creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation are actively encouraged.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Innovation Strategy & Market Leadership

• Develop and execute the BestX innovation strategy across FX, Fixed Income and Equities.
• Identify emerging trends in electronic trading, execution analytics, AI, workflow automation, agentic technologies and market structure.
• Act as a thought leader internally and externally on the evolution of execution intelligence.

Commercial Product Innovation

• Generate, evaluate and prioritise new product concepts, partnerships and revenue opportunities.
• Build business cases for new initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive innovation projects from concept through development, commercialisation and market adoption.

Client & Industry Engagement

• Engage directly with buy-side, sell-side and market infrastructure participants to understand evolving business challenges.
• Convert client feedback and market insights into actionable product and commercial opportunities.
• Represent BestX at industry conferences, client meetings and strategic partner engagements.

Cross-Asset Product Development

• Work across the BestX portfolio, supporting innovation initiatives spanning foreign exchange, fixed income and equities.
• Partner with product and technology teams to define future capabilities and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Establish a unified execution intelligence framework that leverages insights across asset classes.

Strategic Partnerships

• Develop relationships with internal State Street and GlobalLink businesses to identify opportunities for collaboration and integration.
• Evaluate partnerships with fintech providers, data vendors and technology firms that can accelerate innovation and deliver client value.

Executive Communication & Influence

• Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Communicate innovation priorities, commercial opportunities and market developments across the organisation.
• Help shape BestX thought leadership, market positioning and go-to-market strategy.

What We Value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

• Strong understanding of electronic trading, execution workflows and market structure across FX, Fixed Income and/or Equities.
• Demonstrated experience developing innovative products, business initiatives or commercial strategies within financial services or fintech.
• Ability to identify market opportunities and translate emerging trends into scalable commercial solutions.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives, clients and partners.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to combine market, client and business insights into actionable strategies.
• Familiarity with AI, data analytics, workflow automation and modern trading technologies is highly desirable.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Significant experience within capital markets, electronic trading, fintech, execution analytics, trading technology, data analytics or a related field.
• Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives, product innovation programmes or commercial growth projects.
• Experience working across multiple asset classes is strongly preferred.
• Established network across buy-side, sell-side, exchange, platform or financial technology communities is advantageous.
