Head of Category Management (Wholesale)

At efood, we're looking for a Head of Category Management to join our wholesale business, Alfa Dianomes, and drive its commercial strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and optimize category performance across our wholesale operations.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, you will lead a team of 7 professionals, playing a key role in driving revenue growth, profitability, and commercial excellence.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute the company's buying and category management strategy, optimizing assortment, pricing, and profitability.

• Lead strategic supplier negotiations, securing competitive commercial terms and building long-term partnerships.

• Drive category performance through effective pricing, promotional planning, and margin optimization.

• Identify new market opportunities, consumer trends, and commercial initiatives to strengthen our competitive positioning.

• Oversee commercial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring across categories and suppliers.

• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Logistics to optimize inventory performance, working capital, and commercial efficiency.

• Lead and develop a team of 7 professionals across Category Management, Demand Planning, and Master Data, fostering a high-performance culture.

• 3–5 years of people management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.

• Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, procurement, assortment management, pricing, and margin optimization.

• Excellent commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and financial understanding, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

• Strategic mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
