Introduction to the Job

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in San Diego and San Jose, California, Chandler, Arizona, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

This position will be part of the Capability Center within ASML Business Services (ABS) US Capability Center (US CC) with a primary focus on US business administration projects. The Business Systems AI Intern will explore how AI can be applied to US CC processes by identifying use cases, developing agentic workflow concepts, and recommending practical solutions that support business objectives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Identify and map high-value, repetitive workflows that are candidates for agentic automation based on employee-submitted use case suggestions.
  • Help establish AI as a team capability by designing and recommending agentic workflow approaches, skills libraries, tools, and processes that support consistent adoption across the organization.
  • Collaborate across US CC functions and regions to ensure that deliverables are consistent with US CC’s AI ecosystem and strategy, document the approach, and recommend scalable standards and best practices for future projects.
  • Engage stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and pain points for AI adoption as a team capability.

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in business, information systems, computer science, or data science.
  • Experience with agentic AI ecosystems/processes, project management concepts, and enterprise business systems. Examples of experience include prior internships, projects, or personal portfolio work.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience creating AI guidance and governance documents preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to document and communicate complex concepts to audiences without expertise in the subject.
  • Ability to develop and apply agentic AI in the context of business administration projects.
  • Strategic thinking to contextualize internship scope in a broader sector roadmap.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment; values diverse perspectives.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient in Copilot Studio or similar AI platform.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Success Measures

  • Deliverable: propose at least one agentic workflow that automates a defined, high-value team process and simulate the workflow with Copilot chat.
  • Time savings: demonstrate a reduction in time spent on repetitive or rote tasks.
  • Quality: achieve equal or better quality output compared to current manual processes, as qualitatively evaluated by process stakeholders.
  • Standardization: reduced reliance on individual ad hoc AI use and documented framework that can be applied to future use cases.
