[What you will be working on]
GovTech is looking for a Lead/Senior Product Manager to drive key strategic initiatives of AI Programme. Our mission is to transform the public sector from "digitally enabled" to "AI-augmented," building a suite of high-impact AI products and shared capabilities that empower government agencies to innovate at scale.
As a Lead/Senior PM, you will oversee a broad portfolio that bridges the gap between foundational AI capabilities and frontline user applications. You are responsible for ensuring that AI interventions are safe, performant, and seamlessly integrated into the daily workflows of public officers. You will lead the "AI Uplift," setting the standards for how the government builds, deploys, and trusts artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & AI Vision
-
Develop and communicate a multi-year product strategy for a suite of products within AI Programme that aligns with national digital ambitions and agency-specific needs.
-
Ensure that modular AI capabilities (e.g. generative AI, agentic workflows) integrate into a cohesive ecosystem rather than fragmented tools.
2. Product Execution & Governance
-
Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for the most complex initiatives within the programme, from initial discovery and "messy" problem-solving to large-scale deployment.
-
Balance the "Trust Deficit" in AI by making critical calls on model accuracy, hallucination management, and operational readiness for critical government tasks.
-
Prioritize high-value use cases that offer the greatest "uplift" in productivity or service delivery across the whole of government.
3. Agency Engagement & Discovery
-
Lead deep-dive discovery sessions with agency heads to identify "operational fragmentation" and visualize how AI can streamline disjointed systems.
-
Translate broad operational challenges into concrete technical requirements for engineering teams, ensuring solutions are operationally compliant and "effortless to use."
4. Mentorship & Product Excellence
-
Mentor Product Managers, fostering a culture of rapid experimentation, data-driven iteration, and user-centric design.
-
Establish "Best-in-Class" AI Product Management frameworks for GovTech, including success metrics focused on time-saved, friction reduction, and accuracy.
[What we are looking for]
-
Strategic Depth: 10+ years of experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale technology platforms or AI-driven digital transformations.
-
Technical Fluency: A strong conceptual understanding of AI/ML (LLMs, Agentic workflows, RAG, and Computer Vision) and the ability to navigate architectural discussions with Lead Engineers.
-
Systems Thinking: The ability to see the "big picture"—understanding how a single AI capability can be leveraged across multiple government domains to create a multiplier effect.
-
Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional ability to align senior leadership, developers, and non-technical stakeholders around a shared product roadmap.
What we offer you:

Questions you could be asked
- How would you design a retrieval step so the model answers from real data instead of guessing?
- How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
- How do you decide which parts of a product should use AI versus a fixed set of rules?
- Walk me through a computer vision problem you solved, from raw data to a deployed model.
- Describe a typical day in a role like this one: which parts run through AI directly?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: RAG, AI agents, AI Product, and Computer vision. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
