Wood is recruiting for aΒ Mechanical & Piping Design SeniorΒ Engineer to join its Power &Industrial,Β Steam Generation System (Boilers) business , global leader in the delivery of project, engineering, equipment and technical services to the energy and industrial markets.Β
The Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical (Pressure Parts) and Piping engineer, to participate in our Engineering & Technical department with the followingΒ expertise:Β
- Perform the function of Senior Engineer including design of boiler pressure parts and piping.Β
- Perform boiler pressure parts ASME I code calculation, stress calculations and material selection, thermal displacement calculations: tubes, headers, drums, transference pipes, etc
- Perform Tanks pressure parts ASME VIII code calculation, stress calculations and material selection.
- Boiler and Tanks General Arrangement
- Perform piping Layout into plant layout, piping & supports specifications and calculations according to American ASME I and ASME B31.1 or European codes: Piping design conditions, Piping Materials Selection, Piping thickness calculation, Piping stress analysis (Piping flexibility analysis) and supports calculations.Β
- Prepares, verifies and/or approves piping isometrics and support drawings related to the technical calculations performed.

- Prepares Pressure parts technical data sheets, material takeoffΒ and specifications.Β

- Performs technical calculations and technical reports.Β
- Assures contract specifications, applicable codes and company procedures are fulfilled.
- Prepares technical data sheets and specifications.Β
- Prepares, verifies and/or approves drawings related to his/her technical calculations performed.
- Ensures successful completion of the assigned deliverables per contract requirements within the budgeted time and cost constraints of the project/proposals.
- Reports to the Section Manager any technical project/proposal difficulty and /or out of standard solution to be approved.
- Coordinates and supports the Project Engineering Manager in the technical aspects of the project.

Expected:Β
- Industrial Engineering or equivalentΒ
- More than 10 years relevant experience in Power Plant ProjectsΒ
- Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
- Good organization, written and oral skills
- Knowledge of American and International Standards and Codes (ASME I, ASME VIII, ASME B31.1 and European codes)
- User experience of Solid worksΒ
- User of PV EliteΒ
- User of Autocad
- User of CAESAR II
- Advanced user of MS Office specially EXCELΒ
- Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
Desirable:
- User of Solid works Simulation or ANSYS (valued positively)
- User of AVEVA E3DΒ (valued positively)Β
- User of NAVIS 3 D ModelΒ
