AI in this role

Pomelo Care is the leading virtual medical practice for women and children, providing care across pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause. We combine proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology that helps us reach patients earlier, identify risks sooner, and deliver personalized care throughout their journey. Our team includes clinicians, technologists, operators, and problem-solvers working together to make high-quality care more accessible for families nationwide.

We are expanding our network of experienced Advanced Practice Providers (CNM, WHNP, NP) to deliver expert, compassionate virtual care for individuals navigating perimenopause and menopause transitions. By joining Pomelo, you will have the autonomy to set your own schedule while being part of our multi-specialty care model. Unlike standalone menopause platforms, our patients receive integrated care from a dedicated medical provider, a registered dietitian, and a therapist. You will deliver a cohesive, holistic care model that drives superior patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Why Join Pomelo Care:

  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive per-visit model with approximate earnings equivalent to $100.00 to $120.00 per active visit hour (rates vary based on visit type, length, and timing).

  • Multi-Specialty Collaboration: You won't practice in a silo; you'll work alongside dedicated registered dietitians and therapists to ensure patients receive comprehensive, wraparound care.

  • Evidence-Based Practice Rooted in Women’s Health: We have zero financial ties to supplement or compounded drug sales, and you retain independent clinical judgment to determine appropriate care cadences and treatment plans—including hormone therapy, GLP-1s, and non-hormonal options.

  • Focus on Care, Not Admin: We handle patient matching, scheduling, commercial payer credentialing, billing, and clinical supervision support, while providing modern documentation tools to streamline your charting.

  • Total Flexibility: You control your schedule. Choose the days and times you are available to accept patient visits, with the freedom to accept or decline visit opportunities.

  • Clinical Community & Support: Access optional case consultations, provider forums, and clinical updates to support your independent practice and professional development.

As part of the Pomelo network, you will:

  • Conduct synchronous video visits to deliver comprehensive medical care for patients navigating perimenopause and menopause.

  • Assess symptoms, formulate individualized care plans, and prescribe/manage medications including hormone therapy (HT), GLP-1s, and non-hormonal Rx when clinically appropriate.

  • Collaborate within a multi-specialty care team including the patient's dedicated registered dietitian and therapist to ensure an integrated care plan that drives superior health outcomes.

  • Partner with patients over time to evaluate treatment efficacy, manage symptom progression, and support long-term wellness.

  • Maintain accurate, high-quality, and timely clinical documentation within our electronic systems.

  • Uphold clinical, quality, documentation, privacy, and compliance standards for all visits conducted through the Pomelo platform.

What we're looking for:

  • Active Advanced Practice Provider (APP) license as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

    • *Candidates licensed in multiple states (or open to multi-state licensure) are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in perimenopause and menopause care, including hands-on experience prescribing and managing hormone therapy, GLP-1s, and non-hormonal medications.

  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week.

  • Comfort and proficiency using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Strong clinical judgment, independent decision-making capabilities, and a collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary care.

Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience or strong clinical interest in:

    • Complex menopause symptom management and cardiometabolic risk reduction

    • Co-managing metabolic health, weight management, and body composition changes alongside registered dietitians

    • Bone health optimization, including osteopenia and osteoporosis prevention/management

    • Cross-disciplinary care coordination with mental health professionals for mood and sleep disturbances

Credentialing Process & Next Steps:

  • Once you apply, our team will guide you through our streamlined onboarding process, which includes:

  • Two 30-minute video conversations with members of our recruitment and clinical teams

  • Verification of licensure and active personal liability insurance

  • Commercial health plan enrollment facilitated by Pomelo

  • Standard background screening
