AI in this role
Own product marketing and go-to-market strategy for autonomous maritime software suites.
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own product marketing for our software: Echelon and the broader autonomy and fleet software suite. Alongside our Product team, this person will own the go-to-market plan for each product and release, as well as the positioning / messaging of the individual products. They will build the frameworks behind how we position our software, convert talking points from our partners into clear messaging, and successfully bring these products to market.
This will be a highly cross-functional role, partnering with our Product, Growth, Communications, Engineering, and Design teams. This is a hands-on role - you'll personally own positioning and GTM for the software line from day one.
ResponsibilitiesThe go-to-market plan for every software product and release: audience, competitive positioning, proof points, and how and when we launch.
Positioning, messaging, and win themes, set alongside Product, Comms and Growth - held consistent across every channel.
A marketing cadence that matches how software ships. Software doesn't launch once - build the rhythm for marketing a product that changes every release.
Supporting creative teams in the execution of go-to-market work (launch videos, product demos, etc.).
The positioning system itself - a messaging architecture and a launch playbook that other teams can run with.
Product fluency. Know the software cold, and partner directly with Product and Engineering on capability, roadmap, and what sets Saronic apart from its competitors.
A seat with the technical teams. Stay current on release milestones, testing, and what's shipping next for the products you own, and arm the broader marketing and comms team with the information they need to do their jobs.
5+ years in product marketing or go-to-market for technical software.
Track record defining positioning and GTM across the full lifecycle: launch through scaled adoption.
Able to get to the real substance of a technical product and explain it plainly, without reaching for abstraction.
Experience working directly with senior execs, product leaders, and technical teams, with the judgment and influence to drive decisions across those groups.
SAAS, autonomy, simulation, or defense software background is a plus, not a requirement.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasional standing and walking within the office
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
