Binnen de Industry van de Naval organisatie is de afdeling Production Engineering verantwoordelijk voor de assemblage en het testen van (sub)units voor (radar)systemen.

About the job

De Production Engineer bepaalt in nauwe samenwerking met ontwikkeling, logistiek en productie de optimale productiemethode en legt deze vast in PLM- en ERP-systemen en onderhoudt deze.

Voor nieuwe ontwerpen wordt er al in een vroeg stadium deelgenomen aan het ontwerpproces om de ontwerpen te beoordelen op productie-aspecten zoals maakbaarheid, repareerbaarheid, eenduidigheid, duidelijkheid, en verwerkbaarheid. Als het detailontwerp van constructie klaar is, wordt deze als input gebruikt om de uiteindelijke productiestructuren, werkgangen, taaktijden, productiedocumentatie en speciale gereedschappen te maken.

Daarna wordt de werkplaats begeleid tijdens de productie van de eerste proto systemen. Er wordt altijd een PRR (production readiness review) en FAI (first article inspection) uitgevoerd door de Production Engineer tezamen met alle stakeholders. Op deze manier waarborgen we de kwaliteit van onze producten en daar bijhorende processen.

Verder is de Production Engineer een technische vraagbaak voor productie en vormt de schakel tussen de Workcells en Engineering. De Production Engineer schrijft ook wijzigingsvoorstellen om tekortkomingen in documentatie of product/proces te verhelpen.

Het takenpakket gaat over zowel nieuw te ontwikkelen producten als standaardproducten. Ook reparaties en ugprades worden door de Production Engineer begeleidt. Het initiëren van en deelnemen aan verbeteractiviteiten is ook een belangrijk onderdeel van de functie.

About you

Je hebt een afgeronde opleiding op MBO 4 / HBO niveau en ervaring met elektronicaproductie en assemblage van units.
Je kunt goed technische tekeningen lezen en interpreteren.
Je hebt oog voor details en kan denken in logische en logistieke structuren.
Je bent procedure vast, maar wel bereid de vastgestelde procedures structureel te verbeteren.
Je kan je goed uitdrukken in woord en geschrift en beheerst de Engelse taal.
Je bent een teamspeler, initiatiefrijk, proactief en vindt het leuk om steeds weer nieuwe uitdagingen aan te gaan.
Je vindt het leuk de aspecten rond productie eigen te maken en te groeien naar het volledige takenpakket.
Ervaring met een ERP-systeem (bij voorkeur Oracle) is een pré.
