AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. How you will create an impact

• Must demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and underwriting acumen, combined with strong marketing and sales skills, to meet production underwriting goals
• Maintain budgeted loss and expense ratios.
• Must work effectively in a team environment to develop broker and portfolio strategies,
• Independently managing a profitable book of new and renewal Mid Market Property business.
• Help guide, mentor and train more junior team members
• Support planning and budgeting
• Collaborate across AIG divisions
• Help build a culture of diversity and inclusion across the team.

What you'll need to succeed

• The candidate must have the ability to underwrite commercial property risks across the Mid Market Property business while helping to set direction for the team and maintaining a balanced portfolio across primary and excess placements.
• An insurance professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial property underwriting
• Position requires ability to underwrite 100%, primary/shared and layered, and excess structures.
• A strong understanding of current market conditions, ability to quickly make decisions and turn around quotes and manage multiple prospects at one time are essential.
• Must be able to work with regional Property leadership peers to continue building a strong national Mid Market Property team and culture
• Underwrite risks to maintain and profitably grow our Mid Market Property portfolio across our desired business segments.
• Collaborate with colleagues internally and maintain strong visibility with our broker partners.
