AI in this role

About the job

In this role, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of advanced semiconductor solutions, taking ideas from architecture and specification through transistor-level CMOS design, verification, and chip integration. Your primary focus will be the design and delivery of high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits and subsystems.

We are hiring for an experienced senior-level position. You will own designs from requirements and architecture through transistor-level implementation, analog and mixed-signal simulation, verification, and chip integration. You will work closely with analog, digital, verification, and layout engineers to solve complex technical challenges and bring robust products to market.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits at transistor level, balancing functionality, power, performance, area, robustness, and reliability.

  • Translate system requirements into circuit architectures, technical specifications, and verified module- and subsystem-level implementations.

  • Own or lead analog and mixed-signal IC designs through schematic development, block- and top-level simulation, design reviews, layout collaboration, and post-layout verification.

  • Perform system analysis and define simulation and verification strategies for analog and mixed-signal functions throughout the design cycle.

  • Integrate analog IP into larger chip-level designs, collaborating across analog and digital domains to ensure correct interfaces and system-level performance.

  • Collaborate with layout and physical-design engineers on floorplanning, parasitic-aware design, area utilization, and implementation trade-offs.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies, workflows, and engineering best practices.

  • Document design decisions, assumptions, verification results, and technical risks, and communicate them clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Key Qualifications and Personal Skills

You seek to understand technical challenges in depth, identify root causes, and drive solutions through to completion. You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and you bring technical curiosity, sound engineering judgement, and a genuine interest in analog design.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, microelectronics, physics, or another relevant science or engineering discipline.

  • Relevant industrial experience in integrated-circuit design of analog and/or mixed-signal circuits, with at least seven years of hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation, and verification.

  • A deep understanding of CMOS transistors and analog circuits, supported by strong fundamentals in circuit analysis, feedback, noise, mismatch, stability, and process-voltage-temperature variation.

  • Extensive hands-on experience designing, simulating, and verifying analog and mixed-signal circuits at transistor level, including pre-layout and post-layout simulation across process, voltage, temperature, mismatch, and noise conditions.

  • Strong independent problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and the ability to drive solutions to completion.

  • Demonstrable technical creativity and passion for developing innovative analog circuits.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.

  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
