NVIDIA is seeking a Hardware Security engineer to architect, design and, validate HW security for its core GPU products. You are expected work with the GPU HW Security team to ensure the GPU architecture meets NVIDIA's HW security objectives. Persons in this role will develop tools and tests to analyze and verify our design, as well as help reduce risk, threats, and vulnerabilities with a focus on hardware and firmware layers; including considerations for safely scaling up GPUs in data center environments.
What you'll be doing:
Support the GPU HW Security architects to ensure robust, secure service posture from design to implementation in multiple products.
Develop Tools (perl and pyton scripts) to analyze and document vulnerabilities in current and upcoming designs.
Develop tests that run on the GPU architectural model to verify security features.
Perform security reviews of firmware and hardware designs and assist others to ensure quality and robustness of our products.
Assist in defining architectural and micro-architectural details for features that improve security of our GPUs.
Assist in implementation and verification of hardware features that improve security of our GPUs.
What we need to see:
A Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
3-5 years of relevant hardware development experience with a focus and interest in hardware security.
Proficient C/C++ programming and low-level firmware experience.
Strong communication skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic product oriented team.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with scripting in Perl and Python on Linux.
Experience with security testing techniques, threat modeling, fuzzing, negative testing and other techniques. Familiarity with kernel level security concepts.
Interest in micro architectural attacks (side channels, fault injection, etc) and / or HW level applications of cryptography; secure boot, key management, etc.
