About the team :

Our Slovak team at PwC Advisory s.r.o., mainly based in Bratislava, works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. We bring together strong German language capabilities, consulting skills, and understanding of banking, insurance and other FS domains.

We have been fully & seamlessly integrated with PwC Germany but you will also be part of the Slovak technology consulting team and will have the opportunity to be involved in activities in both countries.

As a Senior Process Consultant – Technology Consulting (German Projects), you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms primarily in Germany.

Job description & summary 

As a Senior Process Consultant, you will take a key role in the analysis, design, coordination, and delivery of digital and technology‑enabled transformation projects. 

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and IT teams, translating complex business needs into clear, structured requirements and solution designs. In addition to hands‑on analytical work, you will actively contribute to delivery planning, project governance, and stakeholder alignment in agile or hybrid environments. 

You are expected to take ownership of workstreams, support decision‑making, and contribute to successful project outcomes while gradually growing into broader leadership responsibilities.

Imagine working on project like:

Branch Network Digital Transformation – You analyze how bank branches need to evolve as customer behavior shifts online. You map current branch processes, identify which processes can go digital and which require human touch. You design new workflows blending digital and in-person services. You create requirements for branch banking tools, staff training programs, and customer experience improvements. You present the business case showing cost savings and revenue opportunities to executive stakeholders.

Requirements of the role 

• Completed studies in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, or comparable field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in banking, asset and wealth management or consulting sector, with deep expertise in areas like credit or securities (completion of vocational training as bank clerk or working experience as business analyst preferred). In addition, extensive expertise in core banking processes, complemented by a deep understanding of back- and middle-office functions and activities, along with project management skills.
• Strong process analysis and modelling skills, including As-Is/To-Be process design and requirements definition for new processes.
• A strong interest in exploring and applying new technologies to enhance efficiency and drive innovation, with knowledge integrating tech-driven solutions to streamline business processes and improve data-driven decision-making. Additionally, has a strong affinity for tools such as business analytics, RPA, and process mining solutions.
• Exceptional analytical skills to simplify complex challenges
• Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment
• Client-focused adaptability to drive satisfaction and value
• Leadership potential with initiative to guide projects
• Strong learning mindset and willingness to continuously develop professional and consulting skills.
• Proactive approach to using AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Power BI, etc.) and digital technologies to improve efficiency, support informed decision-making, solve complex problems, and embrace continuous learning in a rapidly evolving workplace

Wage (gross): From 2 000 EUR /monthly
