AI in this role
We're looking for a product manager who is passionate about solving customer problems and has demonstrated success in turning ambiguous customer needs into successful products. In this role, you will help evolve our serverless services by delivering new capabilities and intuitive developer experiences that make it easier to build applications without becoming an expert in distributed systems. If you're excited by cloud computing and have a deep-rooted passion for the evolution of computing and application development platforms, we want to talk to you.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be a critical part of the PM organization that owns the business model and P&L, prioritization of the product roadmap, customer segmentation and pricing, and demand generation for impactful new products. You will work across engineering, business development, and marketing leads to set strategy, define the product, and make high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market. You will partner with technical leaders to ensure the programming model, scalability and reliability promises, and developer experience delight our customers. You will also play a key role in hiring additional team members and helping set the vision and culture of this business.
The breadth of this role is what makes it unique. Depending on your interests and strengths, you could find yourself working on event-driven architectures that connect and integrate cloud-native systems at scale, workflow orchestration and durable execution for AI agents and distributed applications, or developer experiences that make building, deploying, and governing serverless applications effortless.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap for your service area, translating customer needs into clear requirements and making transparent trade-offs between scope, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Drive product development end-to-end across engineering, operations, business development, and marketing — from authoring business requirements and functional specifications through design, implementation, and launch.
- Engage directly with external customers and partners to understand their technical challenges, validate assumptions through usability studies and market research, and turn those insights into product decisions that improve adoption and satisfaction.
- Evaluate industry innovations, technology platforms, and generative AI capabilities to identify opportunities that strengthen our serverless portfolio and keep it ahead of customer expectations.
- Mentor and coach other product managers on best practices while actively participating in recruiting efforts to grow the team.
A day in the life
Your morning might start by reviewing service metrics and customer feedback to identify emerging patterns, then shifting into a design review with engineers where you weigh architectural trade-offs for an upcoming feature. After lunch you could be running a customer call to validate a new API design, followed by a working session with marketing to refine messaging for an upcoming launch. You'll balance focused solo time such as writing product requirements, analyzing competitive data, and refining your roadmap with collaborative sessions that keep engineering, design, and business teams aligned on what to build next.

Questions you could be asked
- How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
- Describe a typical day in a role like this one: which parts run through AI directly?
- If you removed AI from this role, what would be left, and how do you decide what still needs a human?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
