In addition to gaming, the state-of-the-art low-latency streaming technology has expanded to a new range of applications, including augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer–WebRTC Streaming with strong C++ skills and a deep interest in streaming technologies to join a team of highly skilled and motivated software engineers who help build the next generation of applications with media and data streaming capabilities. Now, are you passionate about driving this technology to its edge? Do you understand various streaming protocols? Can you solve complicated problems and propose innovative solutions? Then, we are keen to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, develop, optimize, and debug C++ software for ultra low-latency streaming systems
- Implement WebRTC and related real-time protocols and congestion-control algorithms from the ground up, working directly from specifications
- Identify gaps in existing standards and develop solutions through protocol design, reference implementations, and contributions to IETF Internet-Drafts and RFCs
- Define and implement KPIs for networking quality, streaming quality, and user experience
- Integrate streaming software with platform services, connectivity layers, and/or automotive system components
What we need to see:
- Deep working knowledge of WebRTC architecture and internals
- Hands-on experience across the transport, security, and media path — ICE, STUN/TURN, DTLS-SRTP, SCTP data channels, and RTP/RTCP with the feedback loop that drives pacing and bandwidth estimation
- 8+ years of experience developing, optimizing, and debugging C++ software, along with a master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of operating systems, multithreading, memory management, networking, and systems programming
- Ability to debug complex issues across software, OS, media pipelines, platform, and hardware boundaries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated approach
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Contributions to open-source real-time media projects (libwebrtc, Pion, GStreamer, libvpx/libaom) or to IETF/W3C standards work
- Experience with video codecs and formats such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1, color spaces, or hardware-accelerated encode/decode
- Background with QNX, QNX Safety, Linux, or embedded operating systems for safety-critical platforms
- Experience with automotive software, telematics, connected vehicle platforms, or car connectivity
