AI in this role
You will own complex, cross-team programs that bring Amazon's own lending products to market and help them grow. These programs cover customer onboarding, credit decisioning, loan servicing, repayments, and integration with local partners and regulators. You will be the connection between engineering teams in São Paulo and India and business partners in Brazil and Mexico, turning ambiguous goals into clear plans and launches.
This role sits where technology, financial products and regulation meet. You'll work with Engineering, Product, Risk, Finance, Legal and Compliance to keep large initiatives on track, move fast where it's safe, and make sure every launch meets the bar that financial services require.
We're looking for a technically strong, high-ownership program leader. You should be able to understand system architecture, ask the right questions of engineers, spot risks early, and drive results across countries and time zones.
Key job responsibilities
Own programs from start to finish: Plan and run lending programs for Brazil and Mexico, from defining requirements through launch and post-launch review.
Work across geographies: Coordinate engineering teams in São Paulo and India and business partners in Brazil and Mexico. Align roadmaps, dependencies and timelines across time zones.
Bring technical depth: Work with engineers and SDMs on system design, integration plans and technical trade-offs. Find architectural risks and dependencies before they become blockers.
Turn regulation into delivery: Partner with Legal, Compliance and Risk to turn local regulatory requirements (for example from BACEN and CNBV) into technical plans, deliverables and audit-ready launches.
Manage risks and dependencies: Proactively find, track and reduce risks across teams. Escalate clearly and early, and push decisions forward in ambiguous situations.
Set up ways of working: Create and improve the planning, release, launch-readiness and reporting processes the team uses to deliver at scale.
Communicate with leaders: Write clear status updates, narratives and business reviews for senior leaders. Give honest views on progress, risks and trade-offs.
Keep improving operations: Drive programs that improve system reliability, security, compliance and the customer experience after launch.
A day in the life
On a given day you might:
Run a launch-readiness review for a new credit product in Mexico.
Sync with engineering teams in India on a shared dependency.
Work with Legal and Compliance to scope a new regulatory requirement in Brazil.
Review a design doc with an SDM to understand the trade-offs and their impact on the timeline.
Write a status narrative for senior leaders.
You'll split your time between technical program execution, working with stakeholders and improving how the team delivers.
