🚀 This is what you tell people at parties

We didn't become Europe's leading e-commerce shipping platform by playing it safe. Sendcloud powers 30,000+ online retailers, marketplaces, and fulfillment companies. Helping them ship smarter, grow faster, and actually get shit done for their customers. Boring logistics? Not here. We're building the platform that solves shipping, at scale, globally!

Sendcloud's Business Control team sits at the intersection of finance and data, turning transactional noise into decisions the business can act on. As we scale carrier invoicing, pricing, and financial process automation across a fast-growing customer base, we need someone who can turn Python scripts and SQL queries into real business impact. This is your chance to build the automation backbone for a finance function that's scaling fast — and to shape how Sendcloud makes data-driven decisions for years to come.

• As the Technical Business Analyst, you own the automation of financial processes across carrier invoice control, pricing, and advanced analytics — turning manual checks into reliable, scalable systems.

• Sit at the heart of the Business Control team, translating transactional data into decisions that shape carrier performance and pricing strategy.

• Build and maintain the Python-based tools that keep financial controls running without manual intervention, freeing the team to focus on higher-value analysis.

• Proactively surface improvement opportunities in the data rather than waiting to be asked — this role has real latitude to define its own priorities.

🎯 What you'll do

• Automate financial processes using Python, replacing manual checks with reliable, repeatable systems.

• Drive continuous improvement of Sendcloud's financial processes, including using AI agents to speed up code development.

• Analyse carrier business performance and follow up proactively when the numbers don't add up.

• Own ad hoc business analysis requests, from first question to a clear, actionable answer.

• Shape business and financial decisions by bringing data-backed recommendations to the table.

• Use SQL and Python to query, structure, and interpret transactional data at scale.

✅ What you bring to the table

Personally

• You're proactive and pragmatic — you'd rather test a fix than wait for permission to build one.

• You speak up, take responsibility, and bring a can-do mentality to problems that don't have an obvious owner yet.

• You get a genuine buzz from seeing your analysis change a real business decision.

Professionally

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Business Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field.

• 1–3 years of relevant working experience.

• Experience with programming and/or database querying (Python, SQL).

• Fluent in English, spoken and written; Dutch is a plus but not required.

❤️ Our Values

• 💩 No bullshit: Big egos suck. Be open, honest and transparent. Share your mistakes openly and learn from them. Don't just talk about problems, solve them.

• 🎯 Grow & win: Be highly curious, adaptable & proactive. Embrace discomfort and change. Keep an open mindset and learn from others. You invest in our growth, so we invest in yours.

• 🎠 Have fun: Work hard, laugh harder. Not everything has to be serious. Be yourself, especially if you're the good kind of crazy. Sendcloud is an adventure, not a corporate maze, enjoy the ride.
