Underwriting Governance Executive- 12 month Fixed term Contract Join our Aon Client Treaty (ACT) team as an Underwriting Governance Executive. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance with delegated underwriting agreements, driving the timely implementation of additional controls, and enhancing governance by leveraging existing solutions. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility to work virtually and from our Chelmsford office. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term Contract. What the day will look like Governance: Key resource for both external and internal audits including coordination of pre audit questionnaires; file lists and audit findings Support changes to all governance documentation including UWPD; Underwriting Guide and Centralised Underwriting Governance Manual Continuous improvement of ACTs governance and controls including implementation of audit findings Ownership of peer review; identifying and implement training needs Manage Underwriting Governance dashboard and ensure all control reporting feeds into it Ensure all control reports are managed and all necessary changes are implemented in a timely manner Process improvement : Continuous improvement of our internal processes in line with ACTs Target Operating Model and delegated authority agreement Responsible for tracking improvements across ACT Implementing service measures for ACT and ensuring these are met Technology and portfolio underwriting: Support the implementation of technology tools that will automate some Underwriting governance, ensuring that those tools provide robust protection against underwriting authority breaches Evolve our technology tools to further strengthen Underwriting governance Use data to manage the portfolio’s areas of risk and seek to improve ACT’s performance on all fronts Implement and oversee a change control process to ensure that our technology and our Underwriting authority are always aligned Skills and experience that will lead to success A self-starter who is comfortable with defining and delivering outcomes in a fast-moving environment A strong analytical curiosity with a desire to improve business outcomes Strong interpersonal skills – able to communicate well across organisational levels Builds trusted relationships with clients and colleagues and fosters relationships that lead to client and business success; Coaches individuals to achieve high performance; The ability to solve problems, take decisions and implement to completion; Demonstrate flexibility of thought to the extent that plans can be adjusted as performance dictates. Underwriting background, ideally in Underwriting governance Experience of managing control reports and using data to inform decisions A track record of operating successfully in a regulated environment and with a good understanding of risk management, legal and compliance issues #LI-RC1 2580552
