AI in this role
Pomelo Care is the leading virtual medical practice for women and children, providing care across pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause. We combine proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology that helps us reach patients earlier, identify risks sooner, and deliver personalized care throughout their journey. Our team includes clinicians, technologists, operators, and problem-solvers working together to make high-quality care more accessible for families nationwide.
We are expanding our network of experienced Women’s Mental Health Specialists (LICSW, LMHC, LPC) to deliver expert, compassionate virtual care for individuals navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause transitions. By joining Pomelo, you will have the autonomy to set your own schedule while being part of our multi-specialty care model. Unlike standalone therapy platforms, our patients receive integrated care from a dedicated medical provider, a registered dietitian, and a therapist. You will deliver a cohesive, holistic care model that drives superior patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Why Join Pomelo Care:
Competitive Compensation: Competitive per-visit model with approximate earnings equivalent to $80.00 to $100.00 per active visit hour (rates vary based on visit type, length, and timing).
Multi-Specialty Collaboration: You won't practice in a silo; you'll work alongside dedicated medical providers and registered dietitians to ensure patients receive comprehensive, wraparound care.
Evidence-Based Practice Rooted in Women’s Health: You have the clinical autonomy to determine the appropriate care cadence and interventions. Focus on evidence-based mental health modalities tailored specifically to midlife transitions without commercial pressures.
Focus on Care, Not Admin: We handle patient matching, scheduling, commercial payer credentialing, and billing, while providing modern documentation tools to streamline your charting.
Total Flexibility: You control your schedule. Choose the days and times you are available to accept patient visits, with the freedom to accept or decline visit opportunities.
Clinical Community & Support: Access optional case consultations, provider forums, and clinical updates to support your independent practice and professional development.
As part of the Pomelo network, you will:
Conduct synchronous video visits to deliver specialized, one-on-one psychotherapy and behavioral health care for patients navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause transitions.
Establish individualized, evidence-based care plans tailored to midlife health needs, integrating targeted protocols such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Menopause (CBT-M) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
Collaborate within a multi-specialty care team including the patient's dedicated medical provider and registered dietitian to ensure an integrated care plan that drives superior health outcomes.
Support patients in managing non-hormonal symptoms, sleep hygiene, cognitive strategies for brain fog, mood fluctuations, anxiety, and midlife identity or lifestyle adjustments.
Maintain accurate, high-quality, and timely clinical documentation within our electronic systems.
Uphold clinical, quality, documentation, privacy, and compliance standards for all visits conducted through the Pomelo platform.
What we're looking for:
Active, independent mental health licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LPC and a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing specialized women’s mental health care.
*Candidates licensed in multiple states (or open to multi-state licensure) are highly encouraged to apply.
Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week.
Comfort and proficiency using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic medical records (EMR).
Strong clinical judgment, independent decision-making capabilities, and a collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary care.
Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have): Experience or strong clinical interest in:
Specialized behavioral protocols for midlife transitions (e.g., CBT-I, CBT-M, mindfulness-based approaches)
Addressing hormonal mood vulnerability, anxiety, and depressive symptoms during perimenopause and menopause
Cognitive compensation strategies and psychoeducation for brain fog and executive function shifts
Life transitions, body image changes, grief, and identity evolution in midlife
Cross-disciplinary care coordination alongside medical providers and dietitians
Credentialing Process & Next Steps:
Once you apply, our team will guide you through our streamlined onboarding process, which includes:
Two 30-minute video conversations with members of our recruitment and clinical teams
Verification of licensure and active personal liability insurance
Commercial health plan enrollment facilitated by Pomelo
Standard background screening
