Accountant - Invoice to Pay, Ahmedabad (India)

Qatar Airways is recruiting for the role of Accountant - Invoice to Pay based at our Global Business Services (GBS) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India).

The position is primarily responsible for performing account payable related activities such as verifying & processing supplier invoices as per Qatar Airways group policies, procedures & guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform invoice data entry of medium level complexity in various ERP systems: Oracle, JDE, MS AX, Business central etc.(PO/ TRAX order, GRNs) with proper level of accuracy & timelines standards to avoid supplier Perform invoice validation in Kofax AP agility (OCR system), upstream activity & handling the exceptions in Kofax AP agility tool,

• Perform accounting for assigned categories of supplier invoices of minimal & medium level complexity,

• Generate & complete accounting documents with medium complexities, including careful consideration to payment modes-Quick/ Manual payment process, Batch payment process, to automatically capture invoices in correct payment channels,

• Prepare and disseminate the payment document release details (Airline or subsidiaries) to payment control team for timely approval of minimal & medium complexities,

• Process vendor advances, prepaid expenses, set-off, debit notes, credit notes, month end journal vouchers, regular statistical reports, vendor reconciliations, with medium level complexities & as per plan with highest level of accuracy.

• Follow up on raised POs/ GRNs, place & monitor invoices on hold with medium complexities,

• Follow-up on pending queries & liaise with user depts daily to obtain sufficient & qualitative data to respond to supplier/ stakeholder queries.

• Support Senior Accountant through providing information in case of both internal & external audit queries to ensure complete, timely & accurate responses to information requested,

• Prepare & book adjusting journal entries/ transactions with minimal & medium level complexity on instruction of Invoice to pay team lead,

• Co-ordinate, follow up & maintain the assigned balance sheet/ bank reconciliation schedules database of minimal & medium level complexity & submit to Invoice to pay team lead,

• Handle supplier master details in line with Invoice to pay functional responsibilities & procedures ensuring accuracy of database & record keeping.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 1 year of job-related work experience.

Job Specific skills

• ERP experience (Oracle, JDE, MS AX, Business central),

• System knowledge e.g. MS Dynamics,

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,

• Good communication skills.
