BI Developer Lead

The BI Developer – Oracle HCM is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions to support HR and business operations.
The role focuses on delivering accurate and insightful data through BI Publisher (BIP), OTBI, and HCM Extracts, leveraging deep technical knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud data structures.
This position ensures the availability of high-quality reports and dashboards to empower decision-making and improve the overall HR service delivery experience.

Report Design & Development

Develop and maintain BI Publisher (BIP) reports, OTBI dashboards, and HCM Extracts across Oracle HCM Cloud modules (Core HR, ORC, OTL, Payroll, Absence, etc.).

Create and modify data models, templates, and parameters based on business requirements.

Ensure report performance optimization through efficient SQL queries and data structures.

Design visually clear and user-friendly dashboards aligned with HR KPIs and management insights.

Data Management & Analytics

Translate business reporting needs into technical specifications and design documentation.

Work closely with functional teams to validate data accuracy, structure, and integrity.

Perform data analysis to identify trends, exceptions, and quality issues.

Automate recurring reporting tasks and streamline manual data extraction processes.

System Integration & Security

Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to ensure consistent data flow between HCM and other enterprise systems.

Implement and maintain data security and role-based access controls in reports.

Support quarterly testing of Oracle updates impacting data models or reporting logic.

Continuous Improvement

Propose and implement improvements in reporting processes, performance, and visualization standards.

Maintain proper documentation for reports, data models, and technical logic.

Provide user training and support for HR, Finance, and leadership teams on BI reporting tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Oracle BI Publisher or Oracle HCM Cloud certification preferred.

Experience

4–7 years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud reporting or BI development.

Hands-on experience in BI Publisher, OTBI, HCM Extracts, and Fast Formulas.

Strong understanding of Oracle HCM data model and metadata structures.

Experience with SQL, data joins, and data validation across multiple HCM modules.

Technical & Functional Skills

Proficiency in Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, SQL Developer, and Excel Analytics.

Experience building reports for modules such as Core HR, ORC, OTL, Payroll, and Absence.

Ability to debug and enhance Fast Formulas used within reports or HCM Extracts.

Familiarity with data privacy and HR security models in Oracle Cloud.
