The Role

 As a Coordinating Authorised Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant delivery of JSP375 Safe Systems of Work across multiple QinetiQ and MOD sites, with a particular focus on Mechanical and Petroleum disciplines.

Day-to-day, you'll act as a regional technical authority, working closely with the Senior Authorised Person and site-based Authorised Persons to provide governance, assurance, mentoring and technical leadership. You'll drive consistency across sites, support compliance activities and help ensure the safe operation of high-hazard environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing functional oversight, guidance and mentoring to Authorised Persons across multiple sites
• Acting as a regional subject matter expert for Mechanical and Petroleum Safe Systems of Work
• Coordinating JSP375 compliance activities and supporting statutory compliance requirements
• Conducting assurance activities, compliance reviews and performance monitoring across sites
• Supporting Estates Delivery teams to ensure asset safety, compliance and effective risk management
• Escalating compliance concerns, significant risks and improvement opportunities to the Senior Authorised Person

Essential experience of the Coordinating Authorised Person: 

• Previous experience operating as an Authorised Person within a regulated or high-hazard environment
• Strong practical knowledge of JSP375 Safe Systems of Work
• Significant experience within Mechanical Systems and/or Petroleum disciplines
• Experience providing technical guidance, coaching or mentoring to operational teams or Authorised Persons
• Proven track record of maintaining compliance, governance and health & safety standards
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders, locations or operational sites

Essential qualifications for the Coordinating Authorised Person:

• Current Authorised Person certification in Petroleum and/or Mechanical Systems
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
• Full UK driving licence

This role is 37 hours per week with flexible working patterns such as a 9 day fortnight available. Providing CAP cover at Pendine, Aberporth and Malvern and being based at one of those sites. Travel to other QinetiQ and customers sites will be expected.
