Job Description Summary
Role Type: Hybrid working, #LI-HybridLocation: Hyderabad, India
Domestic Relocation: Support is available
What if your expertise in imaging quality and quantitative analysis could help strengthen the evidence behind clinical development decisions? As an Imaging Specialist, you will help ensure that clinical imaging and dosimetry data are complete, technically robust and ready for confident scientific review. Working with imaging scientists, nuclear medicine physicians and other specialists, you will perform structured quality checks, quantitative assessments and targeted analyses that support reliable, traceable and efficient imaging workflows.
This is an execution-focused opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of medical imaging, data quality and clinical research. You will contribute practical technical expertise while continuing to build your capabilities within a collaborative global environment.
Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Perform technical quality review of PET, SPECT, CT, MRI and other clinical-trial imaging datasets, assessing protocol adherence, completeness, acquisition parameters, metadata, reconstruction settings, calibration documentation and suitability for analysis.
- Review image-derived datasets and dosimetry deliverables against established requirements, including segmentation outputs, lesion-tracking information, quantitative measurements, calibration documentation and associated records.
- Conduct structured verification checks to identify discrepancies, outliers and potential technical concerns, then prepare accurate, complete and traceable datasets for expert review.
- Support targeted image reviews and structured deep-dive re-evaluations when image-quality concerns, unexpected findings, data discrepancies or technical questions arise.
- Execute defined image analyses, measurements, summaries, reports and visualisations under established procedures, escalating matters that require scientific interpretation or methodological decisions.
- Support phantom-based qualification and quantitative imaging assessments, including recovery coefficients, calibration factors, performance metrics, measurement uncertainty, reproducibility and consistency across scanners or studies.
- Contribute to process improvements, templates, work instructions, tracking tools and standard practices, while coordinating with internal stakeholders and technical service-provider contacts to resolve data-quality questions through established channels.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and, where needed, technical contacts at imaging or dosimetry service providers to clarify deliverables and resolve data-quality questions, without owning the vendor relationship; provide limited technical input on site-generated imaging or qualification materials through established channels rather than serving as the primary site contact.
Essential requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Imaging Science, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Sciences, Physics, Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience working with clinical imaging data in an imaging core laboratory, imaging service provider, healthcare imaging environment, pharmaceutical development organisation or a related setting.
- Practical experience supporting PET, SPECT, CT, MRI or other medical imaging modalities, with familiarity with DICOM data, image metadata and clinical imaging workflows.
- Experience in image review, image-quality assessment, technical data review, quality-control activities or quantitative imaging support.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and a clear commitment to data quality, traceability and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical findings clearly in spoken and written English.
- Experience or exposure in one or more relevant areas such as clinical-trial imaging, nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, radioligand therapy, theranostics, phantom qualification, image quantification, calibration assessment, segmentation, dosimetry workflows or imaging-analysis tools.
Desirable requirements
- Hands-on experience with imaging-analysis tools or scripting environments such as MIM, PMOD, Flywheel, MATLAB or Python.
- Exposure to regulated clinical development, Good Clinical Practice, controlled documentation or audit-ready data processes.

- Walk me through how you've used Spect in your day-to-day work.
- What are the limits of Ct that you've run into, and how did you work around them?
- What's a project where you used Mri hands-on?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: Pet, Spect, Ct, and Mri. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
