Preventive Maintenance Planner

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

The Preventive Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling timely preventive maintenance while minimizing equipment downtime and impact on production. They ensure that maintenance technicians have the tools and resources required to complete schedule and emergency work orders.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Safety and Quality 

• Ensure compliance with Safety and Occupational Health procedures (i.e., use of proper PPEs and reporting of unsafe acts and conditions through SBO, etc.) 

• Ensure compliance to environmental policy (i.e., proper waste segregation and water and energy conservation, etc.) 

• Ensures compliance with GMP and HACCP (i.e., proper hygiene and proper wearing uniforms, etc.) 

• Participates in QBO program 

• Follow prescribed work procedures and company safety rules and regulations 

Maintenance 

• Streamline the work scheduling process to minimize breakdowns and maximize the uptime of equipment in the B&W-PC plant by effectively utilizing the Digital Maintenance System (DMS) 

• Creation of Purchase Requisition (PR) through SAP and Coupa for mechanical parts, consumables and services. Follow up Purchase Order (PO) from Procurement. 

• Working with Operator/Focused Technicians to update catalogue in SAP and Coupa systems. 

• Reviewing requests for maintenance work which involves visiting jobs sites for clarification, conferring with the requestor, and estimating the labor required. 

• Reserving all storeroom material required and ordering all non-stock material required for scheduled maintenance activities. 

• Tracking work orders completion. 

• Maintaining completed work order files by equipment number and all information related to those work orders. 

• Maintaining Tag database and tracking of status. 

• Attending and participating in production stand-up meetings to negotiate equipment downtime and review availability of maintenance labor. 

• Through the production phase, work to improve the useful life of equipment and machinery. 

• Arrange and lead scheduling of maintenance shutdown activities. 

• Actively participate in UMS activities (PM activities, AM activities, pilot line activities, etc) 

• Frequently review the preventive maintenance plan for the site to improve replacement frequencies, resource and time management, and spares availability. 

• Track maintenance planning KPI’s (PM completion rates, work order completion rates, tags completion rates, etc) 

• Track daily overtime or labor cost as per maintenance budget requirements. 

• Maintain all logs and required documentation. 

• Procures incidental tools and supplies in conjunction with their assigned work from the storeroom/tool room where applicable during after-hours when the level of work does not require a storekeeper. 

• Track and record equipment failure KPI’s (MTBF/MTTR) 

• Lead/support in implementation of projects which are safety, quality and/or production related in manufacturing of products. Identifies mechanical, instrumentation, electrical or electronic processes required to accommodate future growth and improvement. 

• Assist Focused Technicians/Shifters should there be a need to accomplish activities to complete the planned or scheduled work order request for the equipment. 

• Prepare technical reports with recommendations or solutions to technical problems. 

• Leads, trains and instructs other employees in their work and identifies training needs for other employees as well. 

• Performs other job-related functions that will be assigned. 

• Compliance with the GMP and GHK rules of the plant. 

Digital

• Able to operate simple gadgets such as smartphones, tablets, and/or laptops. 

• Learn and adapt to digital tools as required by the Company. 

Manning

• Participates in training and other ad hoc activities as required by the Company. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any adjacent degrees.
• At least 2-3 year's experience in manufacturing, with focus on maintenance planning and/or projects.
• Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, particularly preventive and predictive maintenance.
• With hands-on experience of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP, DMS) for work order management, tracking backlogs, and cost management.
• Can visualize step-by-step repair or overhaul processes and estimate realistic labor, tools, and spare parts requirements accurately.  
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and operations personnel to balance maintenance windows with production requirements.
• Amenable to work in Gateway Business Park, General Trias, Cavite
