Meet the Team

Cisco Collaboration Design is defining the next generation of product experiences across hardware and software. We are a global, cross-disciplinary team of designers, researchers and technologists who care deeply about how people work together and how our products can make collaboration better. Our work spans collaboration devices, software and intelligent workplace experiences, with particular attention to the administrators who enable, manage and support them and the people who use them every day. We’re committed to a creative, supportive design culture where you can experiment, learn and do meaningful, impactful work. Designers contribute across products and experience areas as priorities evolve, bringing different strengths to a shared design practice.

Your Impact

We are looking for a Product Designer who can bring clarity to complex systems and work closely with product and engineering to turn user needs, technical constraints and product strategy into intuitive, reliable, scalable and accessible experiences. You will help shape the future of the intelligent workplace, making it easier for administrators to enable effective collaboration while delivering useful, coherent experiences for end users.

In this role, you will:

  • Design end-to-end experiences across collaboration devices, software and intelligent workplace services, including the workflows administrators use to enable, manage and support collaboration. Understand how multiple data sources connect to create meaningful experiences.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, architects, researchers and other designers to define user journeys, interaction models and implementation-ready designs for administrators and end users.
  • Explore how AI-assisted and agentic workflows can improve collaboration and workplace experiences while reducing friction and preserving user trust and control. Showcase how you use emerging technologies and AI tools for design exploration, prototyping and research synthesis, applying human judgment in close collaboration with engineering.
  • Create prototypes at the right level of fidelity, from quick explorations to detailed concepts for team alignment, usability testing and engineering handoff.
  • Use Cisco’s design system to create consistent experiences, identifying gaps and contributing patterns across device, workplace and administrator workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.
  • A portfolio or work samples demonstrating product design projects, including user insights, interaction flows, individual contribution and evaluation of proposed solutions.
  • Experience working end-to-end within the design process from exploration to launch and iteration using Figma and any additional design tools.
  • Experience working with product management and engineering on product design projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for collaboration devices, workplace technology or experiences spanning desktop, web, mobile and connected hardware.
  • Experience with enterprise administrator workflows, such as deployment, configuration, management, monitoring or support.
  • Experience designing AI-assisted workflows, automation or intelligent recommendations, with attention to user understanding, trust and control.
  • Ability to frame user problems, explain design decisions and build agreement through feedback and collaboration.
  • Strong interaction design skills, with experience translating complex information and system behavior into clear workflows, interfaces and visualizations

AI agents

Questions you could be asked

  1. How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
  2. Describe a typical day in a role like this one: which parts run through AI directly?
  3. If you removed AI from this role, what would be left, and how do you decide what still needs a human?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
