AI in this role
At NVIDIA, we are building infrastructure that powers advances in AI and accelerated computing. We are seeking a Deployment Manager to coordinate datacenter and network deployment activities in close partnership with our Network Automation, Network Architecture, and Network Engineering teams.
This team is responsible for interacting with these technical teams to align deployment requirements, coordinate and create logical build repeatable workflows, track dependencies, execute logical provisioning and partner with on-site teams to remove physical blockers. The ideal candidate combines strong deployment management experience with a practical understanding of Data Center and Backbone network architectures, zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) mechanisms, and logical datacenter build tools.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as a primary coordination point between network customer/stakeholder teams, Network Automation, Network Architecture, and Network Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Network Architecture and Engineering to understand approved designs, clarify deployment requirements, and align on technical standards.
- Work with Network Automation to coordinate provisioning workflows, communicate deployment requirements with Architecture/Engineering, and stakeholder teams.
- Identify and drive deployment team feature requests for tooling improvements with the Network Automation team.
- Coordinate logical datacenter deployment activities, including source-of-truth updates, configuration generation, orchestration, and automated validation.
- Improve deployment predictability and quality by bringing feedback to Network Automation, Architecture, and Engineering teams and tracking agreed process and tooling improvements.
What we need to see:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 9+ overall years of relevant experience in infrastructure deployment, network engineering, datacenter operations, or technical program management. 5+ years of engineering leadership managing teams or complex technical programs.
- Strong networking expertise across backbone and datacenter edge layers, including MPLS, RSVP-TE, routing protocols, traffic engineering, and resilient network design.
- Strong understanding of datacenter network architecture, including leaf-spine topologies, routing and switching, IP addressing, segmentation, redundancy, and management networks.
- Working knowledge of ZTP mechanisms and their dependencies, including DHCP, DNS, bootstrapping, image and configuration services, device onboarding, and provisioning failure recovery.
- Practical experience with logical datacenter build tools and workflows used for source-of-truth management, inventory modeling, configuration generation, orchestration, and automated validation.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with network automation, architecture, and engineering teams to translate technical requirements into coordinated deployment activities.
- Ability to interpret architecture diagrams, deployment plans, provisioning logs, and validation results to identify dependencies and coordinate issue resolution.
- Experience managing schedules, technical risks, change coordination, and readiness tracking across multiple teams and locations.
- Familiarity with deployment pipelines, APIs, CMDBs, and asset inventory systems.
- Clear technical communication and strong organizational skills, with the ability to facilitate decisions and communicate deployment status to technical and business stakeholders.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience supporting large-scale AI, GPU, HPC, or cloud datacenter deployments.
- Familiarity with Ethernet fabrics, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, or InfiniBand environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform, along with Python or API-based workflows.
- A track record of improving deployment coordination, reducing delays, and helping teams resolve recurring provisioning and build issues.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence across Network Automation, Network Architecture, Network Engineering, Operations, and Support.
