Join a high-impact team delivering large-scale, end-to-end integration, data and AI solutions for some of New Zealand’s leading organisations across financial services, government and large enterprise. You’ll work on complex, business-critical transformation programmes, designing scalable and secure platforms that connect enterprise ecosystems, unlock trusted data and enable organisations to adopt AI at scale.

You’ll operate at the forefront of cloud, data and AI transformation—shaping strategy, leading solution design and delivering modern API-led, event-driven and AI-enabled architectures across Azure and multi-cloud environments. This is an opportunity to influence major technology investments, solve challenging problems at enterprise scale, and build capability by mentoring teams and helping clients turn emerging technology into practical, measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities will include: 

• Lead the design and delivery of large-scale cloud integration, data and AI solutions, leveraging Azure, MuleSoft and modern architecture patterns across complex enterprise environments 

• Architect and implement scalable API-led, microservices and event-driven solutions that connect business-critical platforms, data ecosystems and AI-enabled services 

• Engage directly with clients to run workshops, define requirements, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions  

• Provide technical leadership across significant transformation programmes, ensuring solutions meet enterprise standards for security, resilience, performance and operational scale 

• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering, DevOps, CI/CD and automation practices to accelerate delivery, improve quality and create sustainable engineering capability 

• Support pre-sales and solution shaping, contributing to proposals and building strong client relationships  

• Mentor and guide engineers, contributing to practice growth and capability development

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related degree. 

• 10 years+ experience leading end-to-end design and delivery of data and integration solutions, including running client workshops, gathering and translating business and data requirements into scalable architectures, and ensuring alignment to security, reliability, and well-Architected principles  

• Proven ability to build and manage client relationships in a commercial environment, with experience supporting pre-sales (proposals, solution shaping, technical discussions), and confidently engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive successful outcomes 

Technical requirements: 

Essential: 

• Microsoft Azure: API Management, Application Gateways, Logic Apps, Functions, Fabric, AI Search, Foundry, AKS, VNets, Azure Front Door, Web Application Firewall, Storage Services, DevOps  

• Integration Platforms: MuleSoft (CloudHub) 

Desirable: 

• AI & Developer Tooling: GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio 

• Development Technologies: Java (SpringBoot), .NET  

• Amazon Web Services:  EKS, Bedrock, Agent Core, API Gateway, Storage Services, EC2, Lambda, VPC  

• Platform & Infrastructure: OpenShift, SAP BTP  

• Data Integration: ETL/ELT, API-based integration, event-driven integration, data pipelines 

• Data Platforms: Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, including data engineering, lakehouse architecture and platform integration
