Chemical Assistant (Student Assistant) to R&D at Coloplast

Welcome to your new team
At our headquarters in Humlebæk, you will join the EHS & Metrology team, Centre of Excellence, working to ensure a safe and healthy working environment and environmentally responsible operations. We are responsible for supporting Coloplast’s strategic EHS plan incl. the EHS management system certified to ISO 14001 and 45001 standards. To succeed, we collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside of Coloplast.

Help us drive the EHS agenda forward 
As our new Chemical Assistant, you will have a wide number of tasks and will contribute to improving our EHS performance within chemical safety. We offer a flexible and friendly work environment that accommodates your studies, having the opportunity to expand your areas of responsibility depending on the company priorities and your interests. 

In this position you will:
•    Manage Safety Data Sheets in our chemical managing system (CHESS) for Humlebæk Site 
•    Control incoming Safety Data Sheets to ensure correct CLP classification of chemicals (The Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation EC)
•    Create and manage labels to our internal chemical mixtures 
•    Assist with enquiries from the global Coloplast organisation in relation to CHESS and other EHS aspects 
•    Handle various ad hoc tasks for the department and the onsite laboratories

What you bring

As an ideal candidate, you:
•    Have completed around one to two years of relevant university studies within chemistry, toxicology or similar, and have at least two years left before finishing your studies
•    Have a keen interest in EHS, chemical safety and risk assessment
•    Are structured and methodological
•    Speak and write Danish and English fluently
•    Have a can-do attitude with a high degree of personal efficiency  
•    Can work 10-20 hours per week at our headquarters in Humlebæk

Previous experience with the CLP regulation and safety data sheets is advantageous
