What you’ll be doing:
Join Consumer Financial Crime Optimisation & Strategy and help shape the future of Financial Crime operations through data, automation and digital innovation. Our Team is responsible for identifying, designing and delivering improvements that strengthen financial crime controls, improve customer outcomes and increase operational efficiency.
We're recruiting a Financial Crime Data & Automation Analyst to support a growing portfolio of optimisation and transformation initiatives. This role combines financial crime knowledge with strong technical and analytical skills to design, build and enhance data products, dashboards and low-code solutions that improve operational performance and colleague experience.
You'll be at the forefront of designing solutions that improve how teams work, creating dashboards that drive performance and building tools that reduce manual effort and improve customer and colleague outcomes.
You’ll work closely with operational teams, change managers, subject matter experts and technology partners to understand business challenges and translate them into practical Microsoft Power Platform solutions. This includes developing Power BI dashboards, creating Power Apps, supporting workflow automation and building prototypes to test new ideas and demonstrate business value. You’ll support solutions from concept through to implementation and adoption, using data and performance measures to demonstrate their impact and identify further opportunities for improvement.
You’ll also champion innovation and continuous improvement, using your Power Platform expertise to test new ideas, encourage digital adoption and help build a more data-driven approach across Financial Crime operations.
Why join us?
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.
What we’re looking for?
- Optimisation & solution delivery
Experience identifying operational challenges and delivering practical improvements through process redesign, automation, data and technology-enabled change.
- Power Platform development
Hands-on experience designing and building solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, turning business needs into user-friendly solutions.
- Data, reporting & insight
Strong experience using Excel, Power Query and Power BI to analyse complex data, develop meaningful reporting and turn insight into clear recommendations.
- Problem-solving & innovation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience developing prototypes or minimum viable products to test ideas and create sustainable solutions.
- Requirements & stakeholder collaboration
Able to understand business needs, gather requirements and work collaboratively across operational, change and technology teams to deliver solutions that work for colleagues and customers.
- Delivery & measurable outcomes
Experience delivering optimisation, continuous improvement or digital change, balancing priorities and using performance measures and benefits tracking to demonstrate impact.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Financial Crime & regulated environments
Experience within Financial Crime, Fraud, AML, KYC, Risk, Compliance or another regulated environment, with an understanding of operational processes and controls.
- Advanced Power Platform & integration
Experience developing more complex Power Platform solutions and integrating Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, APIs or Azure.
- Advanced analytics & automation
Knowledge of DAX, SQL, Python or other analytical and automation technologies that complement Power BI and Power Platform development.
- AI & emerging technology
Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI-enabled tools or intelligent automation, with an interest in applying emerging technology to improve operational outcomes.
- Continuous improvement & professional development
Experience using approaches such as Lean or Six Sigma, or relevant Microsoft Power Platform, data, automation or continuous improvement qualifications.

Skills and AI tools this role asks for
Questions you could be asked
- Tell me about a workflow you automated with AI tools, end to end.
- Walk me through how you've used Copilot in your day-to-day work.
- This role expects you to use AI tools as part of the job. Which ones have you used, and for what?
- Tell me about a time an AI tool got something wrong. How did you catch it?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI Automation and Copilot. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list. This role treats it as a required part of the job.
