As part of ING's global Analytics Engineering organization, you'll help build the next generation of AI capabilities supporting Risk Management, Financial Crime, Customer Intelligence, Pricing, People Analytics, and other strategic areas.

At ING Hubs Türkiye, you'll play a key role in defining how Agentic AI is developed, scaled, and adopted across the organization while helping shape the future of AI craftsmanship and leadership within a growing international community.

Role Summary

As a Chapter Lead AI/LLM Data Scientist in Agentic AI, you will combine people leadership with hands-on technical leadership.

You will lead a chapter of AI/LLM-focused Data Scientists while remaining actively involved in the design, development, and deployment of production-grade Agentic AI solutions. Working closely with Product Leads, Tribe Leads, Data Scientists, Architects, and business stakeholders, you will help translate emerging AI capabilities into scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.

This role combines chapter leadership, talent development, technical direction, and solution delivery, offering an opportunity to influence both the future of AI talent and the future of AI products at ING.

Our hybrid working model is designed to balance collaboration, innovation, and personal flexibility. Team members typically come together in our Vadistanbul office for two days per week during three weeks of the month, while one week each month is fully remote.

We also offer additional flexibility during August, allowing colleagues to work remotely throughout the month.

As part of a globally distributed organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple ING locations while contributing to large-scale AI initiatives that create impact across the bank.

You likely bring:

• Significant experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, Generative AI, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing technical professionals in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade AI solutions.
• Strong Python skills and experience working across the full AI solution lifecycle.
• Experience designing or implementing LLM-powered applications and modern AI architectures.
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with retrieval systems, vector databases, embeddings, RAG architectures, and AI orchestration patterns.
• Understanding of evaluation methodologies, guardrails, AI governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience collaborating across business and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a chapter of AI/LLM Data Scientists, supporting growth, performance, and career development.
• Drive AI craftsmanship and knowledge sharing across the Analytics Engineering community.
• Partner with Product Leads, Tribe Leads, and fellow Chapter Leads to shape future AI capabilities and workforce strategies.
• Support capacity planning and allocation of chapter members across strategic initiatives.
• Design, build, and deploy Agentic AI solutions powered by Large Language Models.
• Guide the development of AI agents and multi-agent systems that interact with tools, APIs, data sources, and business applications.
• Establish best practices for AI engineering, experimentation, evaluation, governance, and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Platform, and MLOps teams to operationalize AI solutions at scale.
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable AI products and measurable business outcomes.
• Contribute to the advancement of ING's global Agentic AI vision and roadmap.
